1. Data Controller
Nyffels BV is responsible for the processing of personal data on this website. Nyffels BV Bovenstraat 22, 9667 Horebeke, Belgium VAT: BE0801.523.965 Email: [email protected]
2. What data do we collect?
MaakQRCode collects no personal data from visitors. The QR codes you generate are processed and stored exclusively in your browser. We never receive this data. For anonymous website statistics we use Umami Analytics. Umami collects: • Pages visited and referring URL • Browser type and operating system • Device type (desktop, tablet, mobile) • Country of origin (derived from IP address, but the IP address itself is not stored) This data is fully anonymised and cannot be linked to any individual. It therefore does not constitute personal data within the meaning of the GDPR.
3. Legal basis for processing
Anonymised analytics data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): understanding how the website is used in order to improve the service. Because the data is fully anonymous and no cookies or trackers are used, this interest outweighs any privacy risk to visitors.
4. Cookies and local storage
We do not use cookies. Umami Analytics operates without cookies or any client-side storage. Sessions are tracked server-side using a daily-rotating anonymised hash. Your QR code history (if enabled) is stored solely in the localStorage of your own device and is never sent to our servers. Because no cookies or similar tracking technologies are used, no cookie banner is required.
5. Sharing data with third parties
Anonymised statistics are processed by Umami Cloud (Umami Software Inc.). Umami is a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not sell or share personal data with third parties. See umami.is for their privacy policy. We do not share data with any other third parties.
6. Retention
Anonymised Umami statistics are retained for as long as needed to improve the website, with a maximum of 24 months.
7. Your rights
Because we do not process personal data that can be linked to you, most GDPR rights (access, rectification, erasure) do not apply in practice. You can delete your QR code history at any time via your browser. Questions about your privacy? Contact us at [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (GBA): gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.
8. Changes
We may update this privacy policy. For significant changes we will update the date at the top. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically.
